It's the million £ question, we as trainers get asked all the time: what's best for losing weight, weights, or cardio? Ask the man in the street, cardio will be the answer. Ask any trainer, the opposite is true.
My opinion? From a technical point of view, yes Weights are better for muscle definition, and the post session calorie burn and metabolic effects, but this doesn't mean there isn't a place for cardio training.
The truth is, what ever you are doing, it's great, because it means your doing something, and are enjoying keeping fit! Keep going! Those people who say, one thing is the best way to keep fit, or this is the only way to get in shape, it's not true. Not every programme works for everyone, and only the dedicated athlete will follow their programme to the letter. The majority of people want to enjoy their fitness, vary what they do on a daily basis, and be generally healthier.
The verdict? Keep moving, try new things, their is no magic workout, or diet solution, just do what you enjoy, and have more active days than not.
